Tis The Season!

December 10, 2011

The Historic South Gainesville Neighborhood Association in keeping with the area’s annual holiday festivities graciously opens some of its private residences for touring on the second Saturday in December between 4:00 and 8:00 PM.

Come prepared for a truly enchanted evening in a neighborhood filled with well preserved homes built between the late 1880’s and mid 1900’s. These homes were built by wealthy cattle, cotton and oil barons, as well as thriving local financiers and merchants. Begin your evening with refreshments and a tour of the Morton Museum. See five beautiful homes, from charming cottages to multi-story mansions, decked out in glistening holiday finery! End your evening at a Christmas Art Show and Tour in Gainesville's historic Santa Fe Depot.

Tickets are $10, and can be purchased at The Morton Museum, The Chamber of Commerce, Anana's, and Amelia's Attic.
